The Swiss Confederation added Plahotniuc to the Sanctions List

Following the US, UK, EU, Canada and Norway, on 28 June 2023, also the Swiss Confederation added Plahotniuc to the Sanctions Lists.

Panel discussion on Moldova in Berlin

On 7 March 2017, in Berlin, The German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and the Representation of the European Commission in Germany organised a panel discussion entitled “ Moldova, the EU and the Struggle for Reforms - How to adjust the Eastern Partnership? ”. The agenda comprised items like “ Moldova caught between the EU and Russia ”, “ new president Dodon ”, “ dismay of current state of reforms ”, “ geopolitical struggle with Russia ” and “ further reforms in Moldova ”.
